Dr. Seuss week

Read Across America Week
Dr. Seuss celebration week.
Pk3 enjoyed exploring the author Dr. Seuss. On Monday we read Green Eggs and Ham. We shared if we would try green eggs and ham. Then we tried Green eggs. (lime jello).

On Tuesday we read Put me in the zoo.
We had fun gluing pom poms on the bear.

On Wednesday we read Wacky Wednesday. When we came into the classroom our classroom was wacky. The calendar was upside down. Their was pants on the chair legs and a shirt on a chair. Our tables were all wacky.  Then we painted with spoons, forks, and knives. It was also read in day. We had a police officer read to us, as well as Mrs. Comiskey.

On Thursday we Read The Cat in the Hat. We talked about if we would tell our mother about the cat in the hat. Then we did a stem activity. We stacked cups to see how many hats we could stack before they fell. We were able to stack 6 hats.

On Friday we read the Dr. Seuss book The Lorax.  We talked about how we need to take care of the environment. We then made Truffula Trees using cubes, blocks, and pom poms. We counted the cubes and made patterns.
