Election day

 

Pre K was learning about election day and who we vote for and why we vote. We read the books Duck for President and Froggy for President. Then we talked about how when we vote we go into a booth and cast our vote. 

Pre K held an election for their favorite cookie they like to eat at snack time. We had ballots with a picture of chocolate chip cookie and an Oreo. Then we went behind a booth and checked off which cookie we liked the best. Then folded it an put it in the ballot box. After everyone voted we counted the ballots.  The results were 2 for Chocolate Chip cookies and 7 for Oreos.   

We enjoyed Oreos for our snack.

Fire Truck Visit

 

We enjoyed a visit from the Woodbridge Fire Dept. We learned about how to be safe when there is a fire. They taught us to dial 9-1-1 if there is an emergency.  Stop, Drop, and Roll if our clothes catch fire. They showed us the fire truck and let us spray the hose.
