Month of December in Pre-K

During the month of December we learned about Christmas traditions around the world. Explored music from around the world. Then we went on to read the Gringerbread Man and Gingerbread Girl. Discussed the similarities and differences between the two books. In our centers we worked on Gingerbread math to count gingerbread men and recognize the corresponding numbers. In our literacy center we worked on begining sounds.  For our sensory center we explored wrapping paper, ribbons, tissue paper, and tape. We wrapped our toys for the holidays.  In our science center we made gingerbread scented playdough. We used our fine motor skills to roll out the playdough. We used Christmas cookie cutters.  During art we made an Advent wreath, colored Chirstmas pictures and worked on our cutting skills.
